This is my sons 1956 Johnson 5.5 CD-13, we put a new carb kit in it, replaced the coils, and installed a new water pump impeller. We stripped and re-painted it to make it look as good as it runs.

De motor komt uit een SeaRay speedboot en heeft bijna 3 jaar stil gestaan met water op de kop en in het carter, alles zat dus ook vast zuigers,krukas,nokkenas echt alles!!.Motor volledig uitelkaar gehaald en alles schoongemaakt en waar nodig vernieuwd zoals:zuigerveren,nieuwe onsteking en bobine,nieuwepakkingen,cilinders gehoond,kop is gevlakt,en oliekanalen doorgespoeld.De motor is ongeveer uit 1972 of 1975 dit blijkt moeilijk te achterhalen zelf met het motornr en serinr.Hij heeft 165PK bij max 4000 rpm.cilinder inhoud 4,3L.Sorry voor de beetje rommelige beelden ik was alleen maar dat meent niet weg dat er een heel erg mooi geluidje in zit.Ik ben er ongeveer 60 uur mee zoet geweest maar met veel plezier. veel luister plezier.

Ok another run after yesterday. this time with the air cover on over the carbs. All the plugs again are the same, all are wet with fuel, but none are sooty for the second day. Any idea why they are wet? The Marine Doctor suggested replace my plug wires to steel core, which I will do...will re-post with new plugs and wires. re-checked compression and found that they all sem to have increased. Back in on Jan 1 they were: left from top to bottom 102105110 right from top to bottom 100105100 now is left from top to bottom 105110112.5 right from top to bottom 110105105 Still seems to be shaking a bit, the idle has come down further to 1050, I imagine the air cover is the reason...less air to lean it out. Also verified that primer solenoid is not allowing fuel to bypass the solenoid, by removing the two smaller hoses and squeezing the primer bulb..no fuel leaked out of these two hoses...depressed the key switch and fuel began pouring out as expected. The last thing I did was re-installed the oil hose to the vro and re-connected the pigtail to the vro pump..however I didn't hear any clicking to knwo if it was working or not. Ran some jumper wires between the pig tails and found voltage between the colored wires (grey, brown, purple) and the black wire. Will get some clear hose and fill it with oil to see if the vro is sucking the oil, could have sworn I would be able to hear the clicking though...maybe too loud is all. right now the jets are still from top down #14 Intermediate ...
